If you didn’t know, June 20th is National Ice Cream Soda Day!! To celebrate this occasion my friend Elin http://instagram.com/travelfoodcool and I are posting some boozy desserts and how to make them for you all to enjoy! Check out her instagram and blog http://www.travelfoodcool.com
To make the Green Chartreuse ice cream I followed the recipe in the Canon cocktail book to a tee! I have been to Canon in Seattle and have tried their Chartreuse ice cream and knew this was the ice cream I had to make for this special occasion! The recipe is easy to follow and it turned out perfectly!
It didn’t take me long to come up with a boozy soda to put this in. I did a variation of The Last Word and topped it with the ice cream! I call this one POT O’ GOLD because you will feel like you hit the jackpot when you try this!
- 1 ounce Gin (I used Anchorage Distillery’s Aurora Gin)
- .5 ounce Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
- 4 ounces Fever Tree’s Bitter Lemon Soda
- Top with two scoops Green Chartreuse Ice Cream
You can also just eat the leftover ice cream with shaved dark chocolate over the top like I did!
Cheers!!
